The 454 NSW Tubeless Disc-brake from Zipp is the ultimate road racing wheel. These wheels offer everything the performance rider requires. It is aerodynamically efficient and stable in all vento conditions. In addition, the wider rim is designed for tubeless tires at a lower pressure to reduce rolling resistance and vibration damping, so you lose as little energy as possible on the road. To achieve the best combination of aerodynamics and rolling resistance, it is recommended to mount a 28 mm tire on this wheel. While 25mm tires offer a small aerodynamic gain, the rolling resistance losses of a 28mm tire outweigh the aerodynamic gain. Therefore, for best performance, it is advisable to use a 28mm tire. The 454 NSW features the most advanced technologies in Zipp. The wavy shape of the 58mm Sawtooth™ rim with Hyperfoils™ is the most aerodynamic and stable wheel. The 454 NSW is equipped with Zipp's Total System Efficiency™ (TSE™), the approach to combating speed's biggest enemies: vento resistance, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration losses.
