We are talking about the new Elite roller for indoor training, the DIRETO XR.
It is the biggest evolution of the Direto range of interactive rollers with built-in power meter.

Ready to use, with cassette included
Like the Suito, the DIRETO XR comes on the strength of a very convenient Plug & Play configuration designed to allow you to enjoy a truly simple and immediate indoor cycling experience from the first use.
In fact, the DIRETO XR is already equipped with a pre-installed 11-speed cassette Shimano® 105 (or equivalent) and features a fully assembled design that is ideal for cycling training in the shortest possible time.
Without having to mount the sprocket cassette, all you have to do is install la bici and connect the roller to a power source. Total set-up time: less than five minutes.
As a direct-drive roller, the DIRETO XR is also one of the quietest rollers on the market.
Integrated power meter
The accuracy of the DIRETO XR's data during training is ensured by the Optical Torque Sensor (OTS). This sensor is an innovative integrated power meter that allows the roller to measure power output with an accuracy of +/- 1.5 percent, 0.5 percentage points more than the first Direto.
Direto rollers are the only trainers in the world since the Drivo family of Elite to truly measure power output during training through an integrated power meter.
It is for this reason that the DIRETO XR promises to be one of the most accurate home trainers on the market.
Incredible incline simulation
The DIRETO XR is an interactive roller and therefore automatically varies resistance as you train. Thanks to an enlarged flywheel, the DIRETO XR can simulate up to an incredible 24 percent maximum incline-a 10 percent increase over what the Direto could do and a 6 percent increase over the Direto X.
Power training even during the most intense sessions, with the DIRETO XR you can track all your workout charts, perform tests to assess your fitness, and engage in repetitions and sprints at maximum speed, maximum power.
Compatible to the max
The DIRETO XR stands out as one of the most compatible rollers on the market, with both road and mountain bikes.
Thanks to its new design, the roller is able to accommodate long-cage derailleurs distinguished by increased capacity on sprocket packs up to 12 speeds, and is therefore compatible with Shimano®/SRAM 9/10/11-speed cassettes, Campagnolo 9/10/11/12-speed cassettes, SRAM NX 12-speed cassettes and Shimano® 12-speed micro Spline cassettes.
Maximum interactivity
Like all direct-drive rollers Elite, the DIRETO XR is fully interactive, and in fact falls within the ANT+™ FE-C and Bluetooth range of interactive trainers.
This translates to total roller interaction with all existing iOS, Android, MacOS and Windows apps and software. Anywhere, anytime, with a few simple steps, just set the route or training program and start pedaling: everything else is taken care of by DIRETO XR, automatically varying the resistance and best managing the workout according to your needs.
The roller can be managed with My E-Training software from Elite (available free for 12 months) or with other indoor cycling platforms such as Zwift (free for 1 month when you buy the roller), TrainerRoad, Bikevo, Rouvy, Kinomap and many others.
Pedaling analysis
Pedaling analysis is the function developed exclusively for those who choose the top models in the catalog of interactive rollers Elite among which the DIRETO XR stands out from today.
This function allows the cyclist's power to be monitored, measuring it at 24 points, throughout the pedaling arc. Using two different types of graphs, the change in power output during pedaling, pedaling coordination as a result of the combined work of the extensor and flexor muscles, and also pedaling roundness and mechanical performance efficiency are displayed.
The pedaling analysis function is available for a fee within the My E-Training software from Elite.
Sensorless cadence technology
All Elite trainers instantly transmit power, speed and pedaling cadence data, thus configuring themselves as truly effective tools for building a precise training plan and replicating pedaling on the road to the fullest.
Cadence measurement is done through convenient sensorless technology, i.e., without sensors to be attached to the bike, and is based for the DIRETO XR on a sophisticated analysis of the power output measured by the integrated OTS power meter.
