The Falcn Essential builds on the success of the Falcn RS. The performance geometry and tire clearance of 34 millimeters are identical, as are the fork crown with diffuser and the universal derailleur mount (UDH).

This geometry has been carefully designed by Ridley product developers with a focus on speed, stability and responsiveness. The head tube length is shorter than the Noah Fast and Helium SLX, giving you a more aggressive riding position. The bottom bracket is positioned more basso because it has been adapted to the possibility of pedaling with thicker tires, so that the rider maintains excellent control.

The points of difference are the round seatpost of the Falcn Essential (vs. the D-shaped seatpost of the Falcn RS) and the carbon composition. However, the frame of the Falcn Essential weighs only 990 grams.

Over the years, cyclists have noticed an increasing trend in the use of wider tires on road bikes. The Falcn is developed around 28mm tires and has a maximum tire clearance of 34mm, offering wider tire clearance than the standard maximum of 28mm found on most current road bikes. This allows for greater comfort and lower rolling resistance, as wider tires can be used at lower pressures.

With its increased tire clearance, the Falcn offers superior performance on paved roads and more. The Falcn even excels on ruined paved roads and cobblestone sections. It is the perfect companion to take on new challenges and perform at the highest level in road racing.

The fork crown features an integrated diffuser to reduce drag. Airflow passes more easily through the fork crown, while additional energy is added. The result is that airflow passes more easily through the down tube without pushing the bike backwards. At the same time, the aerodynamic drag in the area behind the fork and head tube is lower.
