OPTIMIZED CONTACT SURFACE
The large contact surface of the KéO 2 Max immediately identifies the product.
Its width has been increased to 60 mm to provide a wider platform and better foot stability when pedaling. This creates a feeling of comfort that is not found in any other pedal.
We have also tried to optimize power transfer thanks to its new 500 mm² of usable surface (+ 25% increase). The shape of the stainless steel plate has been revised to fit that of the cleat and to maintain, regardless of the position of the foot (depending on the angular float you use), the same amount of contact for constant performance.
By increasing the usable contact surface of the pedal, without any increase in weight, it improves the Power-Weight ratio, making the product even better and allowing you to perform at your best.


IMPROVED AXIS
The axis profile of the KéO 2 Max has also been optimised. Built around a large "Chromoly Plus" steel pin, the mechanism consists of an axle with an internal ball bearing and a needle roller bearing, located below the contact surface, to manage the load and distribute it optimally. A new component has been added between these two bearings. A serrated washer, previously used to hold the needle roller bearing in place, has been replaced with a tapered spacer. This technical solution reduces friction, increases fluidity and, consequently, reduces the geometric tolerances of the pedal body and backlash.
The sole purpose of the sum of these improvements has been to guarantee you exceptional reliability.

LIGHT
With its 130 grams, the Keo 2 MAX is one of the lightest pedals in its category. This was possible thanks to the use of injected carbon that allows you to gain weight and improve endurance.

RELIABLE
Particular attention has been paid to reliability: injected carbon shell, stainless steel support surface, oversized double denture pin, make this pedal a very safe and reliable product.
The new type of pin that equips the Keo 2 MAX allows to preserve the support height while using an oversized steel axle. The latter is equipped with 1 miniature bearing (12 mm internal size by 18 external) and 1 needle roller bearing. The pins are LOOK validated only after a rotation test of 2 million cycles at 100 min with a load of 90 kg on the center of the pedals and with an eccentric rotation (which creates a shock at each cycle). This test is definitely higher than that imposed by the standard in force: NF EN 14781. A double seal to ensure a great durability.
