Imagine a jacket so light and warm that you even forget to wear it. The Fly Thermal Jacket is just that kind of jacket. From the inside out we built this jacket to be incredibly light and warm using Castelli FLY Fabric Technologies: FFT. First, we started with GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® as a lining. Its unparalleled performance prevents the vento from hitting your chest to keep you warm, but it's breathable and pushes moisture from the inside out. Next, we found the lightest and warmest insulation, composed of 100% recycled material. CLIMA SL insulation not only isolates but also transpires. Finally, the FLY SL outer layer is once again made from 100% -recycled material that blocks the vento and is treated to eliminate water and protect you from light rain and road splashes in case of sudden rain. Of course, like any good jacket, it's finished with a YKK® Vislon® zipper, three very spacious back pockets along with a fourth zippered pocket for valuables, a non-slip silicone elastic at the bottom to keep the jacket in place, and reflective tabs for added safety while you're pedaling. This is our next step in creating an eco-friendly jacket that behaves as you would expect from a Castelli jacket.
