Fulcrum Sharq Carbon Db Wheels

Designed to elevate the driving experience on mixed routes, from asphalt to dirt roads, Sharq is the result of careful research, advanced engineering and a long work in the design and testing phase, to ensure the best possible performance. All with a 100%-controlled supply chain, in which all components are made in Europe and assembled in our own factories.

The new Sharq is characterized by a 25 mm internal channel, a valid compromise both for road wheels of at least 30 mm, ensuring aerodynamics and improving rolling resistance, and for larger and knobby tires, offering valid support to the tire structure in off-road use. To make it compatible with tubeless and inner tube systems, the rim is equipped with a mini-hook, which ensures maximum safety. As per Fulcrum practice, the bridge is not drilled and, therefore, native tubeless, without the need for additional tape.

2-WAVE RIM

The result is called the 2-Wave Rim and is one of the distinctive elements of SHARQ: it involves a circle with a regular symmetrical wave near the nose, which merges into an asymmetrical wave at the sides. The height of the profile varies from 42 to 47 mm, respectively in the highest and lowest part of the flute. This new design makes it possible to balance handling and reactivity parameters, with excellent aerodynamics.

The new shape, combined with a lamination with FF100' Fulcrum proprietary mix of carbon fibers and resins, has created a light and responsive rim: the total weight of the pair is only 1,440 g, while, in terms of resistance to lateral vento , there is an improvement of 21% in vento conditions between 0° and 10° and up to 30% between 10° and 20°, compared to a traditional profile of the same height.

A3RO SPOKES

A new flat steel radius, with a width of 3 mm and a thickness of 0.8 mm, which offers significant aerodynamic advantages. The hub-spoke interface has also been revised: the hole has two additional slots coupled with a specific crushing at the base of the spoke, which allows it to remain aligned and not rotate, ensuring constant aerodynamic support.

The spokes never touch each other (no-touching spokes), allowing the tension to be maintained over time and, therefore, to ensure the same level of performance throughout the life cycle of the product, without the need for mechanical interventions to overcome any voltage drops.

USB CERAMIC BEARINGS

The hub design respects the minimalist style already seen for the Speed and is characterized by Cup & Cone technology: the cup-cone bearings have USB-type™ ceramic balls that slide on an integral thru-axle with adjustment ring for very precise preload and maximum smoothness.
