The Shelter Road self-adhesive protection is a transparent composite multilayer (20 layers of 20 microns anti-impact, 200 microns anti-scratch, total thickness 0.6 mm) with viscoelastic behavior. Shelter Road is able to significantly increase the impact resistance of carbon fiber composites or the metals on which it is applied.
Shelter Road protects against impacts* – dispersing their energy within its structure -, is resistant to abrasion, the most common solvents, does not yellow and has a semi-structural** adhesion** to the surface on which it is glued: it is therefore not affected by normal bicycle washing, but can still be removed – if necessary – without damaging the underlying paint.
