To avoid heat-induced deformation, Shimano reinforced the alloy mount and optimized the shape of the RT-CL800 brake disc arm. The result is a braking experience that is not only smoother but also quieter. With the help of the proven Ice-Technologies Freeza design, the disc delivers the highest level of braking performance and consistently stable at the level of the GRX RX810 series, even on long and steep descents.

The key to achieving exceptional braking performance is the rapid heat dissipation, achieved thanks to the so-called sandwich construction (stainless steel - aluminum - stainless steel). This results in a significantly lower surface temperature, which in turn ensures less fading, smoother brake modulation and higher braking power, while reducing brake noise and extending pad life.
