Right Control Force 22/ 1 / CX1 Brake Disc Mount Flat
• Road and cyclocross braking have remained in the dark ages. Sure, they're shinier and lighter, but rudimentary. While chassis and transmission development has been the stuff of modern space exploration, road braking has languished with horseshoe-like shoes and stroller whips.
SRAM, a long-time leader in hydraulic braking technology under the Avid brand, has redefined the vision of road bike braking for the next decade. Not unlike every other high-speed transport, SRAM brings hydraulic technology to road cycling for multiple applications. Disc or rim brake, SRAM will stop what you've been pushing, faster and with better modulation. Go ahead and go deep.
The SRAM Force 22 ErgoDynamics™ hydraulic shifter was born from the DNA of the best-in-class SRAM SRAM RED and represents SRAM's most advanced thinking on perfecting the interface between rider and cyclocross bike.

DOT 5.1™
Heat is an enemy of any braking system, so advances in heat management mean progress in your ride. You see, SRAM found that in their systems, DOT 5.1 takes almost 3 times longer to boil than DOT 4, thus allowing for flawless performance without fading in even more extreme conditions.
Double tap
What it is: DoubleTap® is the flagship technology driving the revolution in the SRAM road group. It's a simple yet elegant and advanced system that solves problems, without compromising performance, comfort and weight, with a revolutionary shift/brake lever design.
What it does: DoubleTap® makes shifting gears easier and faster by eliminating the cumbersome and awkward clutching associated with two-lever systems. DoubleTap handles up and down gears in a short, wide motion, with minimal effort and comfort, no matter where you are on the bars.
How it works: DoubleTap® uses two pawls, one to hold the ratchet wheel and one to carry it up and down through the shifter. The pawls are arranged in such a way that they can be stepped over depending on how much and how hard you push the gear lever. With short, quick strokes, the transport pawl (04) moves the ratchet wheel (02) upwards through the shifter range. downshifting is done via a longer lever travel (in the same direction inwards as the top gear, but at an ergonomically maximised angle of 15°) with the holding pawl (03) and the transport pawl climbing over each other quickly and smoothly.
Position, position, position: DoubleTap's one-way one-motion levers (05) work perfectly no matter what position you're moving from. Its double-articulation design (01), completely separate from the brake pivot, easily clips into hoods or drops.
Unlike all other advanced controls, DoubleTap® also lets you pull the gear lever against the bars so you can shift up as you sprint or attack without sacrificing a firm grip.
Divide and conquer: On the DoubleTap® controls, the brake and shift levers are completely independent, each operating with its own pivot points. Not only does this allow for multi-position functionality, but it also eliminates the risk of unintentionally applying the brakes or shift levers, an unfortunate side effect of other shift/brake lever designs.
What this means for you: The efficient, ergonomic design reduces weight and eliminates bulk while adding comfort. You can move from any position on the bars, even while sprinting, giving you a key advantage over the competition, and our new single-lever mechanism also allows you to shift gears faster, easier and with greater precision, Without the risk of slowing down your speed or losing your grip. DoubleTap® is the cornerstone of SRAM 's assault on road cycling. It's a new way of changing – and a new way of thinking – that will put you ahead of the competition, no matter where you find it.
Reach Rule
The fit and feel of the brake lever is a personal thing. Riders have individual positioning preferences, as well as unique hand sizes and finger lengths. Reach Adjust makes it easy to adjust the lever for maximum one-finger control for everyone.
Yaw™
The front derailleur cage rotates to maintain a consistent angular relationship with the chain. Yaw technology eliminates the need for shifter trim. As a result, shifters are more direct, more precise and, combined with the new crankset and Red chainrings, offer an unmatched front shifting performance advantage.
Zero Loss™
ZeroLoss simply means, well, zero losses: when you press the lever, for a higher or lower gear, the cable engages instantly, zero loss of movement. There is no middle ground where you are waiting for your turn to come. Gear changes are instant and precise.
