The new Shimano brakes are part of the updated Deore XT M8100 group and represent a new standard in terms of modulation and performance. Thanks to the new I-Spec EV system, the lever has 2 support points, which guarantees superior stability, while the main function allows a lateral and angular adjustment of the shift control that is fixed with a single screw, thus keeping the handlebar in perfect order.
The lever design echoes the lines of the XTR and offers Reach and Free Stroke adjustment for custom braking. Thanks to the Servo Wave technology, faster engagement and unparalleled braking power are also achieved.

The incorrect configuration of the disc brake rotor and pads when braking on a long descent, for example, has a negative impact on brake performance. Shimano has adopted Ice Technologies disc brake rotor and pads to achieve cooling technology that ensures consistent performance. The coated disc brake rotor blade, equipped with a 3-layer sandwich structure in stainless steel, aluminum and stainless steel, ensures better heat dispersion (from 400°C to 300°C surface temperature). Servo Wave Action
When the Servowave brake lever is operated, the initial recall of the cable is faster, so a small travel of the lever is sufficient to bring the pads into contact with the brake disc.
