The stresses that come from the road are transmitted directly to the handlebars in the form of unpleasant vibrations, which quickly turn into annoying tingling in the hands, compromising comfort and grip on the handlebars. To be able to absorb them by reducing them to a minimum, you would need a handlebar "with muscles": a simple but brilliant idea introduced by the Shock-Absorber Kit by Selle Italia. Shock-Absorber Kit consists of two elements: Bar Pad and SGTape. SG-Tape is a special tape with grip that allows you to guarantee even higher comfort and a better grip on the handlebars, bringing advantages in both performance and safety in the saddle. The Bar Pads are composed of three layers in different materials: the first, in gel, helps to simulate the behavior of a muscle, compressing when supported and regaining its original shape in a few seconds, as soon as the pressure of the hand is lost. In addition to the gel layer, the addition of PU Foam and a third layer of Lycra help to increase the softness of the Bar Pads.
