GXP
Giga X Pipe External Bottom Bracket Bearing Assembly. While other systems rely on side-loading of bearings to eliminate backlash, which causes premature bearing wear, the GXP system is different. The GXP system captures the left-sided bearing between the spindle and the left crank allowing the transmission side bearing to float axially over the spindle, thus eliminating the need to support bearings during adjustment. The simplicity of installation is refined: once tightened to the correct specifications, you are ready to roll with a BB without worries. The GXP system uses two bicycle-specific cartridge bearings and eight seals for a smooth and durable ride.
