New front derailleur design
The Rival derailleur has been completely redesigned. It's designed to optimize shifting when the difference between the two front sprockets is 13 teeth. The wide range of the cassette, combined with the proportions of the front sprockets, gives you unprecedented options for selecting the right gear. This is because the derailleur rotates with the chain to minimize the negative effects of cross-chaining.

Large range
The specs show that with a Rival AXS groupset, you have a much greater range than current 11-speed groupsets. No need to change cassettes when you're out on the mountain!

Fully adjustable
The SRAM Rival AXS 12-speed groupset is fully customizable with the SRAM AXS app. For example, you can choose between synchronized or traditional shifting. You can also customize button functions and connect additional devices to the system, such as a dropper post or navigation system.

Technologies

Future-proof shifting with eTap wireless technology
Sram's eTap technology means the end of shift cables on the derailleur. Wireless shifting makes your bike more aerodynamic and eliminates the need for cumbersome cables. One advantage of the Rival eTap AXS is its 12-speed compatibility. This gives you greater range and the option to install a 12-speed cassette. So you don't have to change cassettes when you're out in the mountains.

Reach and contact point adjustment technology
SRAM's Contact Point Adjustment allows you to adjust the proximity of the brake pads to the disc brake, allowing you to control how quickly the brake engages. SRAM's Reach Adjust technology also allows you to fine-tune your shifting to your ideal riding position. This allows you to adjust the distance between the brake and shift levers and the handlebars.

X-Range Technology
X-Range technology allows for more efficient drivetrain performance by shifting the gear range from the crankset to the cassette. SRAM designed Rival cassettes to give you smaller, more consistent steps between gears. This also allows for greater range. Ultimately, this allows you to stay on the same chainring longer on this SRAM Rival crankset, giving you smoother shifts.


Flattop™ Technology
Thanks to Flattop™ technology, SRAM has developed a chain that is lighter, quieter, and more durable than previous chains. SRAM has achieved all this despite the fact that the chain must be thinner to work with a 12-speed cassette.

X-Sync Pulleys
SRAM X-Sync pulleys deliver maximum performance and ensure long life. SRAM's X-SYNC™ long square sprockets engage the chain faster than traditional triangular sprockets. X-SYNC™ chainrings and pulleys are an integral part of the SRAM™ drivetrain. Designed in Germany.

Full pin technology
SRAM RIval cassettes are very light and durable. This is because the cassette is held together by pins. This FULL PIN™ technology also makes the cassette very durable; sand and dirt won't get stuck!

SRAM Yaw™ trimless cage technology
The Yaw™ front derailleur's rotating cage is an innovative solution that eliminates the need for small shifting adjustments when the chain is tilted. The SRAM Rival eRap AXS front derailleur rotates slightly to maintain a uniform angle with the chain. As a result, SRAM Rival eRap AXS provides direct and precise shifting.
