The overall design is narrower, capable of withstanding higher angles, in addition to this it has flat outer links that result in a more robust riveting and superior resistance.

Sram engineers have developed PowerLock® technology as a safe, durable and above all tool-free chain assembly method. Due to the reduced tolerance of 10-,11-, and 12-speed transmissions, in order not to reduce transmission performance, each individual PowerLock can only be used once.
