SEIS INTELLIGENT ELECTRONIC SYSTEM SHIMANO

The innovative shifting technology of the SEIS continues to be based on the SHIMANO INDEX SYSTEM (SIS), whose superior shifting performance has been proven for many years. The main difference between the systems is that the changing process is no longer mechanical but electronic. This electronic shifting system has been extensively tested over the years by several professional cyclists in all imaginable conditions, e.g. rain, mud, extreme cold, on cobblestones and even in a combination of these factors. The change is done at the touch of a button. No effort is required to change gears, which brings considerable advantages, as the rider always has a firm grip on the handlebars and can concentrate on riding without being distracted by shifting gears. The shifting system allows for precise and effortless shifting in all situations, even with cold hands or when the rider is completely exhausted. The performance of the gearbox can no longer be affected by dirty or stretched cables, as the shift signal is transmitted electronically. The control buttons work similarly to dual-control mechanical levers, making it easy to get used to the SEIS.

E-Tube

The E-Tube platform offers optimal flexibility. E-Tube transmits interactive signals and powers all parts through "plug & play" connections. E-Tube is resistant to corrosion, expansion and frost and ensures low maintenance. And the SMPCE1 provides the connection between the PC and the components to update the firmware. Digital devices stay up-to-date and provide better operation by updating the firmware.
