Weakening of the brakes affects braking performance with prolonged and uninterrupted use. Shimano introduced brake discs and pads with Ice-Tech to create cooling technology for consistently high braking performance. The brake disc has a three-layer sandwich structure of stainless steel on the outside around an aluminum anima . It radiates heat better and reduces the surface temperature. The brake pads, meanwhile, have aluminum cooling fins that further optimize radiation properties. The disc design in combination with the cooling fins results in longer pad life, less brake noise, less fading and also reduces weight.

J-Kit (Easy Pipe Splicing System)
