Several years of research have produced the innovations that make the Shimano Dura Ace R9200 even faster. Every component has been reworked, refined and optimised to enable the decisive seconds of advantage - both in the breakaway from the peloton and in the final sprint on the Champs-Élysées.

Di2 electronics use wireless technology where it counts to make shifting even faster and more reliable. Smooth shifting is also the goal of the Hyperglide+ system, already known in the MTB segment, which has been designed to bring out the maximum performance and full potential of every rider.

Faster than ever. Not only does the RD-R9250 offer the fastest cassette gear changes to date and the widest gear range of any Dura Ace rear derailleur, but it can do so much more. By integrating the wireless system and charging port into one compact unit to cover a wide range of functions, it becomes the heart and brain of the entire Di2 group.

The integrated transmitter ensures wireless communication with the STI brake/shifters and thus ensures precise and fast podium shifting. Using Bluetooth and ANT+, it is also responsible for transmitting data to Shimano E-Tube Project and E-Tube Ride apps, as well as third-party devices.

In addition to the charging port, the normal upper rear derailleur has a button for some Di2 settings and an LED for status display, which informs about the battery level, pairing and setting mode, for example.

RD Shadow

With its sophisticated technology, the Shimano Shadow RD gearbox is particularly suitable for a more aggressive driving style. The extremely low profile brings a number of advantages. Thanks to this flat design and construction based on a simple preload, the rear derailleur does not hit the chainstay even in the most difficult conditions. The gearbox runs cleanly and quietly.
