- NEW ULTRALIGHT CARBON COMPOSITION

The new 586 SL frame is the result of progress made by LOOK in developing and fine-tuning the 695 model. The improvements made to this one-piece frame allow, among other things, the use of a much lighter carbon fabric (110 g / m²). The behavior of the 586 SL frame is similar to that of the other frames in the range LOOK. Lighter, weighing less than 950 grams, it features a new carbon front multiplier shift arm.

- HEADSET HEAD FIT 2

Patented headset LOOK that allow headset adjustment and stem locking to be done separately. Adjustment of the headset is done by clamping the carbon ring onto a thread that is reported and attached to the fork pivot. It is therefore possible to replace the stem without changing the headset adjustments.
This solution makes it unnecessary to use the compression kit replaced by a simple cap.Weight savings: 40 grams.

- E-POST (E=ELASTOMERS) SEATPOST WITH ADJUSTABLE HARDNESS

1/ Anti-rotation: given its oval section, the E-Post is always aligned with the frame axis. 2/ The seatpost rests on the frame 3/ Vibration absorption: the E-Post offers real vibration absorption thanks to the elastomers (2 internal and 1 external). 4/ Tightening suitable for carbon: a torque of 5 Newtons/meter is enough 5/ Three elastomers with various degrees of hardness are included.

- MONOCOQUE DESIGN

The monocoque technology employed by LOOK allows for a very ''design'' and lightweight frame. These two features are often antagonistic.

- COMPRESSED DROPOUTS

These dropouts, compressed during the molding of the bases and chainstays, allow for a monocoque rear assembly (bases-wishbone dropouts) and a better weight/reliability ratio.

- POLYVALENCE

The stiffness of the 586 has been carefully calculated and adjusted to be sufficient but not too excessive. This ensures great polyvalence of the frame on all types of terrain.

- HSC6 FORK

100% carbon monocoque, weight 340 grams, conforms to EN 14781 (frontal impact 144 joules). Carbon dropouts molded and compressed into the continuity of the fork.
Integrated fork base cone (45° taper) that allows the headset to be positioned directly on the fork head. Oversized for ¼ inch bearing. Fork steerer tube is, reinforced to allow mounting of the Heat Fit headset.

- ALSO AVAILABLE IN DI2 & EPS

The 586 frame is also available in Di2 & EPS versions. In this version, the passage of the beams turns out to be fully integrated (the electrical beams pass through the tubes and the bottom bracket shell). Recommended mounting is as follows: EW7975 with long battery holder under the bottle cage.
