On asphalt or dirt, the fēnix 5 Plus series smartwatches, all equipped with preloaded TopoActive maps, integrate navigation features that will allow you to navigate easily and intuitively even in the most extreme conditions thanks to accurate turn-by-turn data. A bright, high-resolution, transflective, full-color Garmin Chroma Display™ with LED backlighting ensures readability in all environmental conditions, even in bright light. For added scratch resistance, a sapphire lens is available on several models in the fēnix 5 Plus series.

Optimized satellite reception

In addition to receiving GPS and GLONASS signals, fēnix 5 Plus features the Galileo geostationary satellite receiver to make location even more accurate. To support navigation directions on a map, fēnix 5 Plus also has ABC sensors (altimeter, barometer and compass, compass) that make it even easier to find your way around and learn about your surroundings. The altimeter generates elevation data to closely monitor ascent and descent for mountain activities, while the 3-axis, tilt-compensated electronic compass indicates direction-both on the move and while stationary.

Advanced performance metrics

All multisport GPS smartwatches in the fēnix 5 Plus series are equipped with workout-specific features to monitor fitness and performance. View physiological metrics, running dynamics, and more to track workout statistics, assess your progress, and stay in shape. Training Status automatically processes recent exercise history and displays performance indicators to find out if your workout was effective, maintenance or you worked overload. The Training Effect anaerobic activity feature lets you know with data and graphs, if the training you are doing is actually improving your anaerobic capacity You can also view your overall Training Load, They implement specific preloaded activity profiles for swimming, running, la bici, hiking, skiing, rowing, indoor rowing and many more. Wrist-mounted heart rate technology

Elevate™ wrist-worn heart rate measurement technology allows you to monitor cardiovascular work without the use of a chest strap. In addition to counting steps and analyzing sleep, the smartwatch uses heart rate to provide information on calories burned and quantify the intensity of your fitness activities. It also identifies the variability of your heart rate to calculate your stress score: this will allow you to estimate how intense the activity your body will be able to sustain during your daily workout.

The soundtrack for your sport

Now with fēnix 5S Plus you can listen to music without a smartphone during activity, with the ability to upload up to 4GB of songs directly to your smartwatch. It's easy to upload music and create a playlist to listen anywhere, anytime via convenient wirelessly connected Bluetooth earbuds (third-party and sold separately). You can also sync your valuable playlists from some premium music streaming services5 to the smartwatch for ad-free listening.
