The V5Rs is the latest evolution of the V-Series Colnago. Even lighter and more aerodynamic, the V5Rs is la bici ultimate all-round racing bike, designed to continue dominating in the WorldTour with Pogačar and his teammates. Lightness, but also aerodynamics, responsiveness, handling. The V5Rs is the result of the perfect balance of these elements - all executed with one goal: to win. Even more. The V5Rs has been designed to improve every aspect of riding: weight, aerodynamics, stiffness and handling, taking into account the real demands of the race.

The lightest Colnago

The V5Rs is the lightest Colnago ever built, with a 685-gram ready-to-paint frame. The frame kit weighs 12.5% less than its predecessor, without reducing stiffness.

Finer profiles

The experience developed with the Y1Rs has made it possible to refine the design of the V5Rs, which adopts thin and high-performance profiles. In the vento tunnel, the aerodynamic performance is close to that of the best aero frames.

Small front area

The frontal area of the V5Rs measures 250 cm², 13% less than its predecessor. The evolution of the head tube - now narrower - helps to reduce air resistance and save watts.

Rigid and responsive

The V5Rs combines lightness and aerodynamics without compromising stiffness and responsiveness, guaranteeing performance suitable for the needs of professional riders on UAE teams.

More precise guidance

The V5Rs adopts a new fork, lighter and more precise. The 32 mm tire clearance allows the use of wider tires: more grip, drivability and speed on uneven terrain.

Absolute carbon quality

Thanks to new lamination techniques, the arrangement of the carbon fibers is studied and controlled in every area of the frame. The result is a light, resistant and long-lasting structure.

CFD Refinement

The design of the V5Rs starts from CFD simulations to analyze the airflow. The models have been developed with the support of leading universities, to reflect real-world aerodynamic conditions.

Prototyping

Colnago uses 3D printing to create prototypes based on CFD data, allowing for rapid testing and targeted modifications to ensure optimal performance of each component.

Validation in the Gallery of the Vento

The prototypes are tested in the vento tunnel, also in race configuration with dummies. The tests confirm the CFD data and help define further aerodynamic improvements.

Validation by professionals

The first production models are tested on the road by professional riders to verify that performance remains high even in real conditions and in racing contexts.
