Is it possible to improve a winning project? The engineers at Colnago started from this question to try to identify all the details that can elevate the qualities of the V3Rs. The new Colnago V4Rs has been created following five principles of fundamental importance in competition: aerodynamics, lightness, dynamic rigidity, robustness and ease of maintenance. These pillars helped define the validation phases of the new V4Rs Colnago .

Colnago in the creation of the V4Rs did not change the shapes of its original project, but changed its substance, providing Team UAE Emirates with about twenty frames with five different laminations to be used in the race. The front area of the V4Rs has been completely revised on the basis of the tests carried out in the Vento Tunnel at the Politecnico di Milano. The new fork has led to the definition of a new hourglass-shaped head tube with an increased upper area. The rear triangle pendants also have new shapes
