Pirelli presents Scorpion MTB: a line of tires, which eliminates the weather variable!

Pirelli expands its presence to the off-road world and in Sicily presents Scorpion MTB, its first line of tires dedicated to Mountain Bikes. The characterizing concept of the new Pirelli product line is the proposal of a range of models designed with respect to the variety of soils, based on their consistency, from compact to yielding. Easily understandable and developed for every specific need, the Scorpion MTB line is accompanied by dedicated engineering for every single size and version. Scorpion MTB offers every consumer the most suitable rubber for his usual riding (terrain, style, wheel profile). The result is a line of tyres that guarantees performance at the highest levels in each of the sizes or versions chosen, regardless of weather conditions.

Each tyre has its own dedicated development
The great experience gained by Pirelli in years of presence in Motocross has been put to good use, in particular, in the definition of the tread patterns of the Scorpion MTB range shape and height of the blocks, distance, Cross-link and angles have been designed for maximum efficiency of footprint on the specific surfaces on which you ride. When designing the new tyres according to the consistency of the terrain, the engineers of the P lunga also had to take into account many other variables: from the rider's riding style to the latest developments in terms of profiles and rim sizes. For this reason, in the new Scorpion MTB the construction technology is not the same for all rubber sizes: each size benefits from a dedicated development. The combination and interaction of structures, reinforcements, static and dynamic properties of the compound, measurements and different designs for the various soils, was for Pirelli a technical area of innovation, in terms of approach to product development. As it was already for the SmartNettm Silica, which solved the compromise between rolling resistance and wet grip of the PZero road Velo , so it is for the SmartGrip Compound, which in the Scorpion MTB closes the gap between tear resistance and grip on wet surfaces.
