The OSPW X system reduces friction by 35-40% compared to the standard pulley configuration. The lightweight custom-molded carbon fiber cage ensures a long service life. This design allows the use of the same chain length as the standard pulleys.

The profiles of the pulley with more than 14 teeth and less than 18 teeth ensure the stable seal of the chain without additional friction.

The OSPW X System is developed, designed and built by hand in Denmark - and tested globally.

OSPW - Oversized Pulley Wheel Systems

No matter you are an enthusiast or a professional cyclist, your only desire is always to always get the best performance, the oversized OSPW cage and pulley system is ready to meet these needs.

The oversize system consists of two alloy pulleys equipped with the incredible ceramicspeed bearings and an ultra-light polyamide and carbon cage with titanium screws. This combination allows the OSPW system to offer better performance than standard pulleys and cages offered on the market.

Both OSPW systems for Shimano and Sram have been tested by the independent laboratory Friction Facts (which as of November 2016 has been incorporated by ceramicspeed for closer collaboration between R&D and test). These tests concluded that the Oversized Pulley Wheel System (OSPW) guarantees a level of friction of 40%-60% lower than the classic 11-tooth pulleys, in particular thanks to the increased size of the pulleys this cage allows an effective saving of watts starting from 1.6W for the OSPW Sram cage and 2.4W using the OSPW Shimano cage.

Ceramic balls and their polyamide cage are matched (with a micron deviation) with the best steel sealing rings equipped with shiny surfaces with basso coefficient of friction, to complete and protect its bearings ceramicspeed uses a specific grease with low viscosity and anti-friction sealings to keep water and dirt away from ceramic balls.

To ensure the best performance, each bearing is manufactured in Denmark in regulated ventilation locations that are isolated from any type of contaminated agent and inspected four times during the production process to ensure that all components fit together perfectly.
