ROTOR introduces a new member to the Q-Rings family, the QXL.
The new QXL is a Q-Ring with a higher ovalization. It has a similar shape to standard Q-Rings and ensures exceptional stability in transmission. The QXL do not replace the normal Q-Rings, rather they complement them by increasing the range of use and the different profiles of each cyclist.

These athletes have better sensations when riding off the saddle and in sprints. The QXL are efficient in conditions of maximum power and intense sustained efforts, such as in TT, sprint, climb, etc.

QXL crowns are perfect for "powerful" athletes with more developed muscle mass that produce a higher peak and have a higher average power.

WHY Q-RINGS?
Q-Rings allow you to go faster. The savings can be more than 1.6 seconds per kilometer compared to traditional gears. A round crown forces the rider to ride less efficiently, while Q-rings allow you to use your maximum power.
PERFECT PEDALING
Q-rings increase performance by doing what round chainrings cannot: they vary the resistance of the transmission depending on how you pedal. This maximizes the use of effective zones and reduces the intensity of weak and inefficient zones (thus creating less negative work). Unexpectedly, this variation is not contrary to the concept of "perfect pedaling", indeed it is the only way to approach it.
FASTER PEDALING
Recent independent scientific research on Q-Rings has shown that during high-intensity pedaling there is an increase in performance compared to round chainrings. A sprint test showed an advantage of 1.6 seconds per KM and an average power increase of 27 W (for example, some aerodynamic wheels with 60mm profile are said to gain 1.5-1.8 sec/km and 16 W savings). In addition, oxygen consumption and heart rate were statistically lower with Q-Rings.
