Q-rings make it possible to go faster. The savings can be more than 1.6 seconds per kilometer compared to traditional chainrings. A round chainring forces the cyclist to ride less efficiently, while Q-rings allow you to use your maximum power.

Q-rings increase performance by doing what round crowns cannot: they vary the resistance of the drivetrain depending on how you pedal. This maximizes the use of effective zones and reduces the intensity of weak and ineffective zones (thus creating less negative work). Unexpectedly, this variation is not contrary to the concept of "perfect pedaling," in fact it is the only way to approach it.

Recent independent scientific research on Q-Rings has shown that during high-intensity pedaling there is an increase in performance compared to round crowns.
