Shimano Hard Ace 9150 Di2 gearbox

The Dura-Ace Di2 R9150 electronic gearbox embraces Shadow technology and brings it to road bikes. The Shadow design places the gearbox under the dropouts and offers a thinner profile, thus helping aerodynamics but also increasing the protection of the same in the event of falls and impacts. The Shadow design allows a faster wheel change as it is possible to move the gearbox and move it away from the dropouts. In addition to this, it allows even more precise shifts and a speed never reached before. The new Dura Ace Di2 gearbox is produced in a single version capable of working with cassettes up to 30D, which means that the Dura Ace offers an even wider range of ratios than its predecessor.

Technology

Synchro Shift
Initially introduced with the XTR Di2 M9050 group, the innovative Synchro Shift technology is now available on the Dura Ace R9150. It is a Di2 programmable function that creates an intuitive experience on the bike through the synchronization of the front derailleur and rear gearbox, which can be programmed directly by the user. In addition to the "Full Synchro" function, a "Semi Synchro" function can also be used: this is a new mode that automatically reacts when the rider switches from one crown to another, also changing the position of the rear derailleur to reduce the gear jump, thus preserving the right pace.
