Is it possible to improve a winning project? The engineers of Colnago, started from this question to try to identify all the details that can raise the qualities of the V3Rs. The new V4Rs Colnago has been created following five principles of fundamental importance in competitions: aerodynamics, lightness, dynamic rigidity, robustness and ease of maintenance. These pillars helped define the validation phases of the new V4Rs Colnago .

Colnago in the realization of the V4Rs has not changed the shapes of its original project, but has changed its substance, providing the UAE Emirates Team with twenty frames with five different laminations to be used in the race. The front area of the V4Rs has been completely revised on the basis of the tests carried out in the Galleria del Vento at the Politecnico di Milano. The new fork has led to the definition of a new hourglass-shaped head tube with an increased upper area. The rear carriage pendants also have new shapes
