New ARC technology (radical structural redesign of fiber arrangement) is applied to both the rim and front hub. The new "twill" orientation of the carbon fibers reinforces the areas subject to the highest stresses by causing more material to be concentrated around the nipple anchor point, eliminating material, and therefore weight, where it is not needed. Although overall the structure is basically made up of ultra-high modulus T800 carbon to ensure extreme performance, reduced weight, but also optimal integrity, the outer layers undergo unidirectional fiber treatment.
