The casco Synthe™ is an icon in the modern world of helmets, combining an aerodynamic and compact design with advanced technology, exceptional ventilation and featherweight. No wonder it has become one of the favorite helmets for cyclists on the road, singletrack and increasingly also in gravel. For 2021 the Synthe has been updated with an integrated MIPS Brain Protection System, which combines the advantages of MIPS® with the famous Roc Loc® 5 to increase com-fort while significantly reducing weight. The openings have been freed and widened further, increasing cooling power and reducing weight.

MIPS Brain Protection

MIPS Brain Protection represents a low-friction layer within the casco that causes the skull to roll relative to the casco at the moment of impact. This process substantially reduces shock violence by preventing damage to the brain. MIPS established that very often during the fall the head meets with the ground under a certain angle, which causes rotational shock to the brain. Thanks to the MIPS layer, the casco absorbs most of the shock and protects you during your activities.

In-Mold

The In-Mold assembly process permanently combines a lightweight and durable outer coating with casco parts made of EPS foam lining for impact and shock absorption. This melting process strengthens the areas around the vents and ribs, creating a single "exoskeleton" that allows the casco to be lighter, stronger and better ventilated.

Super Fit

The patented Super Fit adjustment system is based on data from "human scale factors" and over 20 years of history of handmade helmets, which adapt to the best runners around the world. With the creation of helmets with up to 4 sizes, they adapt perfectly and safely to the shapes of the human body. Our Super Fit™ sizes can be worn by 98% of runners and note how they are tailor-made exclusively for you.

Roc Loc Air Fit system

This revolutionary control system adds a new dimension to casco performance through improved ventilation, comfort and stability. Using a patented design that suspends the casco slightly from the top of the head, the Roc Loc® allows fresh airflow to pass directly overhead and further improve the performance of the vents and internal ducting. The Roc Loc Air system, derived from the proven Roc Loc® 5 system, allows you to easily customize the casco adjustment in seconds using just one hand.

X-Static® padding

The X-Static padding contains a fiber made with layers of pure silver permanent in the fabric. Silver has antimicrobial 100% natural performance, which helps reduce odor and regulate heat, so that the casco remains fresh and comfortable in a completely natural way.

Roll Cage Reinforcement

The Roll Cage™ is a lightweight and durable reinforcing mesh, invisibly molded inside the EPS foam lining of the casco. It helps to keep the casco together in case of impact and provides an additional tool of strength and integrity that you will never notice.... unless you need it!

Wind Tunnel Ventilation

The Giro helmets have been developed using the patented Wind Tunnel™ system. This design combines the active air intakes in the casco shell with the internal exhaust channels, bringing fresh air over and around the runner's head and throwing out heat and air. It's the most effective cooling system available and you can feel the difference every time you ride.
